چکیده

The exposed crystal facets of the catalysts are crucial to catalytic performances for soot combustion as a typical heterogeneous catalysis reaction. Herein, we have successfully synthesized well-defined ?-Mn2O3 nanocrystals with three morphologies octahedrons (?-Mn2O3-O), truncated octahedral bipyramids (?-Mn2O3-TOB) and hexagonal nanosheets (?-Mn2O3-HN) via adjusting amount glucose in hydrothermal method, their predominantly {111}, {211} {001}, respectively. activities were tuned by facet arranged order: ?-Mn2O3-HN > ?-Mn2O3-TOB ?-Mn2O3-O, catalyst shows highest activity during combustion, its T10, T50 T90 values 282, 373 424 °C, possess good stability four cycles soot-TPO. facet-dependent is systematically investigated means various characterizations. {001} can improve surface density active oxygen species enhance low-temperature reducibility Mn4+ species. research highlights new strategy fabrication efficient ?-Mn2O3-based removal diesel particles or other pollution.

Reaction Mechanism in Catalytic Soot Combustion with CeO2 Catalysts

Introduction Diesel soot elimination is a very difficult problem. The catalytic filters seems to be one of the technological alternatives in order to trap and burn the soot, at the exhaust gas temperature. In order to advance in a rational catalyst design, the reaction mechanism must be understood. In spite of this need, and even though there are many papers in the field, detailed studies regar...

Study of HMS Modified ZrO2 Supported Platinum Catalysts for Toluene Removal: Catalytic Combustion and Kinetics Study

Reaction behaviors and kinetics of catalytic oxidation of toluene with different feed flows over Pt/Zr(x)-HMS catalysts with Si/Zr ratio equal to 5, 10, 20 and 35 were investigated over a wide temperature range (200 – 500 oC). Results show that Pt/Zr(x)-HMS performs more easily toluene oxidation. The kinetic data were fitted by the Power-law and Mars–van Krevelen kinetic models. The fitting res...

Alumina-Supported Manganese Catalysts for Soot Combustion Prepared by Thermal Decomposition of KMnO4

Alumina-supported manganese catalysts with cryptomelane and/or birnessite structure have been prepared using a simple method based on the thermal decomposition of potassium permanganate. The samples have been characterized by XRD, FTIR, TGA, DSC, N2 adsorption at −196 °C, SEM, H2-TPR and XPS, and their catalytic activity for soot combustion has been tested and compared to that of a reference Pt...

Hydrothermal Synthesis of Lanthanide Stannates Pyrochlore Nanocrystals for Catalytic Combustion of Soot Particulates

Nanocrystalline La2Sn2O7 and La2Sn1.8Co0.2O7 with a phase-pure pyrochlore structure were synthesized by a hydrothermal method, and their catalytic activity was investigated for soot combustion. The as-synthesized catalysts presented relatively larger surface area, and pore volume, which was benefit to the gas molecule diffusion in the reaction. A uniform spherical structure with particle size o...
